Exciting new workshops and courses starting in Feb

Starting first week in February are some exciting new Workshops and Courses and also Casual and Peer Groups start again too. 

The One day Workshops are as follows:

Thurs 4th Feb - 9.30am - 12.30pm Understanding Colour in Acrylics - Liz Showniruk $20

Sun 7th Feb - 10am to 1pm - Mosaic Project - House or Garden Sign - Sam Matthews $45

Tues 9th Feb - 9.30am to 12.30pm - Funky Pottery Fish (see photo) - Liz Showniruk $35

Sunday 21st Feb - 1pm to 4pm - Basketweaving (see photo) - Richard Mustchin...

A weekend of workshops coming up - Mosaics and Basketweaving

Richard Mustchin is conducting a basketweaving workshop on Saturday 5th December. Richard has had extensive experience in basketweaving including: Cocos Beachbags made from Coconut Frond, Standard & Hanging Rattan Planters; Utility Baskets, coloured milled rattan miniatures. If you have some friends or family visiting, bring them along.The more the merrier ! Perhaps you could make a basket or bowl as a Christmas Gift. Creations from the Mosaic TREE JEWELL workshop

Eleven students completed a Come and Try It workshop with Sam, the DAB mosaics tutor and created these beautiful designs in one session. There will be further one-off mosaic sessions offered, so drop in at DAB and register your interest.

DAB Textile Exhibition

The textile art exhibition is now on display in the Douglas Shire Council foyer. The exhibition is a culmination of a ten week experimental textile course run through DAB with a grant from Regional Arts Australia and Artslink Queensland.
