A weekend of workshops coming up - Mosaics and Basketweaving

Richard Mustchin is conducting a basketweaving workshop on Saturday 5th December. Richard has had extensive experience in basketweaving including: Cocos Beachbags made from Coconut Frond, Standard & Hanging Rattan Planters; Utility Baskets, coloured milled rattan miniatures. If you have some friends or family visiting, bring them along.The more the merrier ! Perhaps you could make a basket or bowl as a Christmas Gift. Creations from the Mosaic TREE JEWELL workshop

Eleven students completed a Come and Try It workshop with Sam, the DAB mosaics tutor and created these beautiful designs in one session. There will be further one-off mosaic sessions offered, so drop in at DAB and register your interest.

Semester 2 Program Guide is AVAILABLE

DAB has received funding from the Regional Arts Fund to hold a 10 week workshop in Textile Arts with professional textile artist Debbie Rasmussen. The fabulous creations made during this course will be displayed in an exhibition at the Mossman Council Chambers in October. This course is offered at a special discount for all participants, so there pensioner discount does not apply....

Come and join the Mosaics Group

Here is the DAB mosaic group with their newly created 'spontaneity tree' forming part of the DAB Landscaping.
All interested people are welcome to come and join the group which is running on a Saturday afternoon 1.30 - 4.30pm. You don't need to be experienced - beginners are welcome too.
